Hiking and biking

The Posavje region enchants active visitors with authenticity, hospitality, and unspoiled nature. It lies between the Gorjanci, Bohor, and Zasavje hills. Forested slopes end in sunny vineyards and orchards.

Hiking and Biking

Hiking and biking trails are well developed, though mostly unmarked. They tell fascinating stories and suit all age groups. The landscape offers medium‑high hills, with peaks between 500 and 900 m. Popular spots include Bohor, Lisca, Grmada, and Gorjanci, all with stunning views.

The Posavje countryside is perfect for family trips filled with local stories, as well as hikes for larger groups. Road cycling and mountain biking are both well established.

Variety of Trails

Hiking trails provide tours of different difficulty levels. Along the way, you discover natural and cultural treasures and a deep connection with nature. Trails can be explored independently by downloading routes to smartphones or with local guides.

There are more than 100 hiking and thematic trails, ranging from 2 to 20 km. They offer diverse themes and levels of difficulty.

Posavje Hiking Festival

Each year, the Posavje Hiking Festival takes place in two parts: spring (May, June) and autumn (October, November). The festival offers more than 30 organized hiking and biking tours, guided by experts. It includes educational programs, Posavje cuisine, local stories, and a wide choice of accommodation.

The festival welcomes hikers, cyclists, and sports enthusiasts of all generations. Organized tours encourage learning, exploring cultural and natural heritage, sports activities, and relaxed walks in nature.
