Green Posavje
Posavje is a place of tranquil pleasure. This comes from a natural environment that is never extreme. There are no high mountains with landslides, no streams with rapids, no seas with sharks, and no virgin forests where you could get lost or chased by wolves.
Jokes aside, Posavje has all of these features, but in calmer and friendlier forms. You can ski here, yet the region is more generous with the peaceful Sava and Krka rivers. They invite rafting, stand up paddling, canoeing, or relaxed fishing.
Posavje is perfect for those who prefer nature activities without extreme adrenaline. It offers a relaxed getaway, followed by a gentle massage, a glass of local sparkling wine, and a toast with friends.
Kozjansko Park adds balance with natural heritage protected under Natura 2000, cultural history, castles, and sacral sites. In the end, Kozjansko begins and ends with the apple – proof that Posavje people cannot live without a gourmet touch.
The most mysterious attractions are two caves, Kostanjevica and Ajdovska. They carry the thrill of the underworld, always exciting. Yet even these caves cannot overshadow the beauty and goodness found above ground.
